Creating useful requirements

Learn applied requirements engineering:

Our short course in Creating useful requirements gives you a solid basis for describing industrial products and services with requirements adapted to your unique needs. In the course, we will guide you through the fundamental parts of requirements engineering and demonstrate how you may combine them in an effective way.

We will address techniques for structured formulation of requirements and show how the requirements text can be combined with attributes for e.g. configuration and risk management as well as requirements’ relationships as traceability and decomposition. You will also learn alternative ways of organizing requirements within a specification, and how several requirements specifications together can describe a complex system or a customer-supplier relationship.

Creating useful requirements combines interactive lectures with group exercises and breakout discussions. Theory, frameworks and principles are explained using real-world examples. The course gives you an applied introduction to requirements and requirements management, and is adapted to IREB , INCOSE , ISO/IEC 15288 and ISO/IEC 42010.

IREB: International Requirements Board
