Recommended combinations of course modules
The Nordic MBSE School is a modular education program with a unique design that enables you to select and combine the course modules based on your individual needs and your available time.
Here we have proposed a few alternatives together with their intended target audience. Note that if you attend more than one module you can also perform an individual home assignment adapted to your interests, and the modules you have followed, to take your learning one step even further.
Modules 1+2+3+4 – mbse and managementThe complete school gives you a solid start to participate in product development or procurement using model-based techniques. You will also obtain a good insight the management and leadership aspects of introducing graphical and collaborative tools in your organisation. In other words, you will have taken a good first step towards becoming an MBSE or MBSE management professional. |

Module 1 – a very good start…If you are seeking to obtain an overview and a basic awareness of MBSE and its relation to systems engineering and systems architecting, MBSE Essentials (Course module 1) will give you exactly that. Based on this module, you will be able to go home and start to reflect on MBSE and the value it can provide for you and your organisation. |

Modules 1+4 – an MBSE management platform…As a manager or a project leader, you may want to focus more on getting an overview and understanding how to manage and support the introduction of MBSE in your organisation. By attending modules 1 and 4, and potentially doing the individual home assignment, you will achieve a good basic understanding of MBSE and its implications on management and leadership. |

Modules 2+3 – the sysml boot campModules 2 and 3 together gives you an excellent start for using SysML in your daily work. You will learn how SysML can employed to represent requirements as well as fundamental architectural views of your system-of-interest. In these module we also present and practice several ways of using SysML for communication and analysis, including using how to SysML for expressing variants. |
